5 DAYS BWINDI AND NGAMBA ISLAND
Day 1: Arrival –Transfer to the Hotel
Our company representative will warmly welcome you upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport and check in your hotel, then later take you around Kampala for a city tour to kasubi tombs, museum, shopping malls, and other places of your interest. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Ngamba Island for an exclusive chimpanzee experience
After your early morning breakfast, the driver will pick you from the hotel and transfer you to the wildlife Education Centre for a boat cruise to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary a secure home for the orphaned chimpanzees to live out their lives. Arrive in time to catch up with their lunch hour as they respond to the call of the bell and gather near the fence to be fed on fruits. You will also take a walk to the laboratories as well as the theatres where he sick chimps are treated .later return to the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the journey to Bwindi.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi a home to mountain gorilla
After your early morning breakfast, the driver will pick you from the hotel and start off the journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest for an ultimate gorilla experience in south western Uganda. You will have a brief stopover at the Equator for you take photos and visit the craft shops around. The journey will give a chance to see the long horned Ankole cattle in Kiruhura and Mbarara as well as the beautiful rolling hills of Kabale. Arrive in Bwindi in late evening and check in Mahogany springs lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking- The ultimate gorilla experience
After your early morning breakfast with your packed lunch and drinking water, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of the mountain gorillas. Later proceed to the impenetrable forest with a very cool and fresh breeze as you are given a chance to spot some birds and other species like plants, trees, ferns, butterflies, chameleons and many more. Time taken searching for these gorillas ranges between 2-8 hours depending on their movement within their natural habitat. It is necessary for each one to be patient and when you meet the gorillas, use the one hour given for photographs, observation and enjoy seeing how funny they are playing with each other, communicating with one another and lots of amazing things they do. Later return to the lodge for late lunch and relax then in the evening you may go for a village walk to the batwa community. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure
After your early morning breakfast, check out and depart from Bwindi National park to Kampala. Along the way, you will have en route lunch in Mbarara and proceed with the journey up to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home. End of Safari.
