Detailed Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali international Airport and Transfer to Virunga National Park in Congo.
Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will also be warmly welcomed by the professional driver guide who will transfer you to Virunga Park in Congo. The drive will take about 4-5 hours without stopovers and is very interesting. This safari will take you through majestic land scape sceneries filled with the unique natural setting and the local populations. Upon arrival to the park, you will also advance to the lodge and check in and have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2 : Do Early Morning Gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park.
Have breakfast and then head to the headquarters of the park and you will register and then be assigned a ranger guide and the gorilla group. You will also start your trek and can also take up to many hours to locate them, you are also assigned to after which you will be accepted to spend I hour with the giants. Here you will take some photos and spend some good time with them. After, you will return to the park headquarters and then transfer to Goma after gorilla trekking and stay at the lodge selected

Day 3: Early Morning Nyiragongo Volcano Hike
Enjoy your breakfast so early and then you will be taken by the guide to the park headquarters so as to register for the mount Nyiragongo hike. And after you will be assigned the local guide and the porters. In case you need equipment’s carried, you will then start your climb up the trail and the hike up the mount will take between 4 to 6 hours and this will also depend on your climbing abilities. Day 4: Make Decent from Nyiragongo Volcano and Transfer to Kigali
Have breakfast in the morning, you will also begin your descent by 7: 00 am from the summit of Nyiragongo to the head trail in Kibat Patrol post. Arrive at the trail head before lunch and then transfer back to the lodge to have lunch and relaxation

Day 5: Transfer from Virunga national park to Bukavu
Have breakfast and then depart Virunga national park to Bukavu. The drive transfer to Bukavu which is very interesting as it will take you through the impressive land scape. On arrival to Bukavu, you will connect to your pre-booked lodge/hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Lowland Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega – DR Congo and Afternoon Nature Walks
So early in the morning after enjoying breakfast, you will take 1 and half hour drive to Kahuzi Biega National park to have a briefing about the dos and the don’ts of trekking the eastern Lowland gorillas in the jungle and after enter into the forest to search for the primates and this activity can also last for 2 to 6 hours depending on their movements once you find them, you will be given 1 hour with them to allow you take photos and the videos. After tracking, you will return to the hotel for an overnight and dinner.

Day 7: Transfer from Bukavu –DR Congo back to Kigali
Have breakfast and then embark on transfer to Kugali caital city. The drive will also take you through bukavu in Congo crossing via Cyangugu boarder to Rwanda. You will also have an enroute stop in Batare were you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza, and Rwanda genocide memorial site. Upon your arrival to Kigali, you will also have your lunch and thereafter advance with the drive to Kigali international Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
